Privacy Policy

Overview

This policy explains what we collect when you use videofaceswapper.com (the "service", operated by Video Face Swapper, "we"), why, who processes it and how long we keep it. Contact: privacy@videofaceswapper.com.

What We Collect

• Account details: your name, email and profile picture from Google sign-in, or your email and a hashed password if you sign up with email. Used to run your account.
• Videos and photos you upload: used to generate your video and to run our safety checks.
• Generated videos: so you can view, download and share them.
• Credit and order history, and payment confirmations from Waffo: for billing. We never receive your full card or bank details.
• A one-way hash of your IP address at sign-up: to give one free gift per network. The IP address itself is not stored.
• Safety-check results for your jobs: to enforce our rules and handle reports.
• Usage analytics (Google Analytics 4): to improve the product. We do not send names, emails, photos or video links to analytics.

Biometric Information

Swapping faces and checking ages requires processing the facial features (facial geometry) in your uploads. You give explicit consent to this before every generation. We use this processing only to:

• create the video you asked for; and
• estimate the age of the people in your photos, to block content showing minors.

We do not create, keep, sell or share face templates or face embeddings, we do not use them to identify anyone, and we do not use your uploads or generated videos to train AI models. Uploaded videos and photos are deleted within 30 days.

Safety Checks and Deepfake Safeguards

To prevent misuse, every job is checked automatically: the source video and photos before processing (nudity and sexual content, plus an age estimate of each face in the photos), and the generated result before it is delivered. Jobs that fail are stopped and never delivered. We log each result (the check, the outcome and the labels returned, linked to your account and the job) to enforce our rules, handle reports and meet legal obligations. Content reported to us is reviewed by a person. See the Terms of Service, "Our Commitment Against Deepfake Misuse".

How Your Uploads Are Processed

We share data only with the providers that run the service, through short-lived private links and only for the job at hand:

• Cloudflare (Workers, R2, Hyperdrive): hosting and file storage, global network.
• Supabase: database, United States.
• Our media server: video conversion, watermarking and cover images, Hong Kong.
• WaveSpeed (Wan 2.2 Animate): Character Swap generation.
• Magic Hour: Face Swap generation and face detection, United States.
• SeeAPI: nudity and sexual-content checks of uploads and results.
• Amazon Web Services (Rekognition): face detection and age estimation of uploaded photos, United States.
• Waffo Pancake: payments, as Merchant of Record, under its own privacy policy.
• Google: sign-in and analytics, United States.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Retention

• Uploaded videos and photos: deleted within 30 days.
• Generated videos: kept until you delete them (Settings → My videos) or delete your account.
• Content removed after a takedown: deleted from storage; a record of the report and the decision is kept.
• Safety-check records: kept as long as needed to enforce our rules, handle reports and meet legal obligations.
• Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Your Rights

You can view, download or delete your videos at any time. You can ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to delete your account, by emailing privacy@videofaceswapper.com from your account email. We respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK, California, Illinois or Texas) you may have additional rights, including withdrawing consent and complaining to a data protection authority; we honour them.

Children

The service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children, content showing minors is not allowed, and our checks block photos that appear to show a minor. If you believe a child's data was uploaded, contact us and we will delete it.

Photos of Other People

Only upload photos and videos of other people with their consent. If your likeness was used without your consent, report it at /takedown and we will remove it within 48 hours.

Security

Files are stored in private storage and shared only through short-lived signed links. Service secrets are encrypted, and access to data is limited to what is needed to run the service.
